Pedestrian / By-pedal Series, 2012-14

Commissioned by Art of the Danforth (Toronto, ON), the City of Mississauga and Art Souterrain (Montreal, QC). Public interventions in Toronto, ON and Chicago, IL.

The Pedestrian / By-pedal Series originated as 3 works created for the Art of the Danforth Festival in Toronto, ON in 2012. Later that year we were commissioned by the City of Mississauga to create a series of 12 works to coincide with Park(ing) Day. The silhouettes for each piece originate from a member of the Port Credit community where the work was installed. Over 100 silhouettes were digitally recorded. In 2013 the work was exhibited in Art Souterrain in Montreal, QC, with 3 new pieces translated into French. In 2014 a few works were installed as public interventions in Toronto, ON and Chicago IL, including a few of the originals.
